TINDY Holds Auspicious Keel-Laying Ceremony for Aquatic Weed Removal Vessels

 

Thai International Dockyard Co., Ltd. (TINDY) recently held an auspicious keel-laying ceremony for three aquatic weed and water hyacinth removal vessels commissioned by the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning at the TINDY shipyard. The ceremony was organized to bring prosperity and good fortune to the vessels currently under construction, while also boosting morale among employees and ensuring that operations proceed smoothly, safely, and successfully.

Ms. Bongkot Rungkornpaisarn, Managing Director of the Company, welcomed Mr. Pannarob Techamongkolapiwat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, who presided over the keel-laying ceremony together with executives and related parties.

The construction project for these aquatic weed and water hyacinth removal vessels has been initiated to support missions involving the collection of water hyacinths, aquatic weeds, and floating waste from rivers and canals. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to conserve natural resources and the environment, while also facilitating safer and more efficient water transportation for the public. Upon completion, the three vessels will be deployed for operations in Prachin Buri, Udon Thani, and Bueng Kan provinces.
